I would like to take the time to thank and recognize all those involved in putting together a fantastic Fall Social that was hosted on this past Saturday. It was my plan to thank everyone at the event itself, but my voice was not a booming as was needed! The spirit behind the Fall Social is to bring families together to foster a deeper sense of community within our school. This benefits us as parents, community members and ultimately our students. It was such a wonderful evening of food, events and laughs. What a great way to kick off the year. I want to especially thank Mrs. Stephannie Drysdale and her team of parents who organized the event. It ran very smooth and the donations were some of the best we have had.
I look forward to the year ahead and the many more special events we will be attending and supporting together.
Yours in Christ,
Michael van der Pauw

October 17th – Fall Social
VIRTUE OF THE MONTH
The virtue for the month of October is Thankfulness. It is fitting that we have this virtue at the time of Thanksgiving Day. It is easy for us to take for granted so many of our needs in life – shelter, food, compaionship, health, education, etc. Being thankful is knowing that we are blessed and fortunate. It is good to give thanks every day for all that God provides and to understand that we are privledged and blessed to be a part of this caring and supportive school community.

MORNING DROP OFF & AFTER SCHOOL
It has breen brought to our attention that some students are not being dropped off in the designated drop-off area. Please do not drop off students in the traffic flow lane. If you are dropping off in the morning we ask that you use the drop off lane that runs adjacent to the Parish Centre. If you are staying at the school in the morning please park in the upper area of the parking lot and walk your child to the playground area.
This part of our routine is as follows:
We will use the west gate of the parking lot (marked “Enter Only”) to enter the parking lot and the east gate of the parking lot (marked “Exit Only”) as our only way to exit the parking lot, please DO NOT turn left to enter into the school parking lot. The configuration of the cones is to allow traffic to flow through the parking lot to the “Exit Only” gate. If using the drop off area near the Parish Centre, please stop at the speed bump, once your children have left your vehicle they are to stay behind the cones as they enter the playground. Volunteers are in the parking lot helping to direct traffic. Safety of the children is our primary concern, please remember to drive slowly. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Please hold on to your used clothes and household items in order to donate to a good cause while helping fundraise for the school.
