EVENTS
October 17th – Fall Social

VIRTUE OF THE MONTH
The virtue for the month of October is Thankfulness. It is fitting that we have this virtue at the time of Thanksgiving Day. It is easy for us to take for granted so many of our needs in life – shelter, food, compaionship, health, education, etc. Being thankful is knowing that we are blessed and fortunate. It is good to give thanks every day for all that God provides and to understand that we are privledged and blessed to be a part of this caring and supportive school community.
IMPORTANT PICTURE DAY INFORMATION
Your child received his/her proof last week. If you are going to be ordering prints either Online or via the school, orders must be handed in to the school or placed by no later then October 15th.
Your child’s school picture is available online. Simply go to mylifetouch.ca to view your school pictures. Use the Portrait ID & Access Code on your proof sheet to claim your school pictures online. To redeem your complimentary digital Pictures2Protect® card, click here.

HOLY CHILDHOOD
Students were given the Holy Childhood boxes last week. We ask that students please return the boxes back to the school no later than Monday, October 26th.

MORNING DROP OFF & AFTER SCHOOL
It has breen brought to our attention that some students are not being dropped off in the designated drop-off area. Please do not drop off students in the traffic flow lane. If you are dropping off in the morning we ask that you use the drop off lane that runs adjacent to the Parish Centre. If you are staying at the school in the morning please park in the upper area of the parking lot and walk your child to the playground area.
This part of our routine is as follows:
We will use the west gate of the parking lot (marked “Enter Only”) to enter the parking lot and the east gate of the parking lot (marked “Exit Only”) as our only way to exit the parking lot, please DO NOT turn left to enter into the school parking lot. The configuration of the cones is to allow traffic to flow through the parking lot to the “Exit Only” gate. If using the drop off area near the Parish Centre, please stop at the speed bump, once your children have left your vehicle they are to stay behind the cones as they enter the playground. Volunteers are in the parking lot helping to direct traffic. Safety of the children is our primary concern, please remember to drive slowly. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
