CHRISTMAS CONCERT UPDATE

December 8th, 2016

---

School News

Dear Parents,

For the past 48hrs we have been monitoring the weather reports in order to make an informed decision in regards to tonights Christmas Concert and Lights of Hope celebration.  We are fortunate to have individuals in our community who’s careers involve close monitoring of weather patterns and systems.  Based on reports from Environment Canada and confirmation with those in our community, we are happy to confirm that tonights performance is going ahead as scheduled.

The children have been working very hard with their teachers and Mr. Natola to have their performance ready for tonight.  Below are a couple of reminders for you…

1. Please wear warm clothes – The first part of the festivities happens outdoors.  It will be cold and we ask you dress your family accordingly.  The children have been told what to wear for the Christmas Concert.

2. School Choir – if your child is in the school choir, please meet Mr. Roy and Mrs. Ellis in the foyer of the Church no later than 5:45pm.  Please make sure you child is bundled up as they will be singing outdoors – scarf, mittens, toque, boots should be worn.

3. Schedule – The parish hall will open up at 5:30pm.  The Lights of Hope will begin at 6pm.  The doors to the church will open after the Lights of Hope ceremony.  Children are to go to their classrooms immediately following the Lights of Hope.  The Christmas Concert begins at 6:30pm.

4. Donations – we ask that you consider bringing a donation to the St. Vincent De Paul Society.  A bin is located just inside the church.

We are very excited for tonight and look forward to seeing everyone here!

Yours in Christ,

Michael van der Pauw

Principal
