HOT LUNCH PROGRAM

We are changing the way you can order for Hot Lunch Days, we are going green. Order forms will NOT be sent home.  This program is safe & secure and efficient.  Please see attached letter for more information (please see below) and to set up your family account.

If you have not registered/placed order yet, PLEASE do so as soon as possible, last day to order online is April 9th, we can not accept any orders after this date, so your child will miss out on the 3 months of Hot Lunch.

SCHOOL DEBIT MACHINES

The school has received debit machines.  As a result we can now accept credit card and interact payments for tuition and school fees.  We ask for your patience as we are learning the new program.

STAFF CHANGES

We would like to express our gratitude and well wishes to Mr. Cos Natola as he pursues teaching at the high school level come the end of June.  We thank him for his dedication and energy that he brought to our music program and wish him all the best in the future.

TRACK AND FIELD SEASON

As our basketball season comes to a close, track and field is right around the corner.  Our Track and Field program has the largest participation rate out of all of our extra-curricular programs in the school.  Last year we had close to 80 students participating in grade 3-7.  This year we are expecting even more students in the program.  Ms. De Sousa, Head Coach for Track and Field, is looking for parent support in many areas.  Morning condition practice and drivers for our track meets are the areas in most need of volunteers.  Please consider helping out this track season.

LIBRARY BOOKS

The transformation of our library to a Library Learning Commons is almost complete.  Currently we are upgrading our library system.  To ensure that our collection is complete and up-to-date we are asking families to look at home for any books that are stamped with the St. Bernadette School name and/or have a St. Bernadette School barcode on the book.  Teachers will be speaking with students who currently have overdue books in the hopes that they will be returned soon.  We are asking for your support in locating and returning any library books you may have at home.

SCHOOL UNIFORMS

I have noticed recently that there is a growing number of students that are coming regularly to school out of uniform.  It is important that all students come to school dressed in our school uniform.  Our uniform is issued by Cambridge Uniforms.  Pants and shirts bought from department stores or other locations are not part of our school uniform. The guidelines for the uniform are found in the parent handbook and in the student agenda.  If non-compliance continues, a letter will be sent home with the child asking the parents to send their child to school in proper uniform.  If you are having issues with obtaining a uniform we do have some used items and you are more than welcome to speak with the school in how to assist you in obtaining the proper items for your child.

USED UNIFORMS

We are accepting good, clean used uniforms at the school.  A bin is located across from the office.  If you are in need of a uniform please email useduniforms@stbernadette.ca to make your request.  Please have all the sizing information listed in your email
