CHARITABLE DONATIONS
St. Bernadette School shows tremendous generosity when it comes to the various charitable organizations we support throughout the year. This is exemplified in our recent recognition in the BC Catholic newspaper for our work with St. Vincent De Paul Society. Since the start of the school year, we have supported 3 other charitable organizations – Holy Childhood Association, Covenant House and Chalice. We are happy to report that we have raised the following funds for these organizations thanks to your generosity:
Holy Childhood Association – $1,084.33
Covenant House – $490.05
Chalice – $393.90
Between now and the end of the year we will be supporting the SPCA, Development and Peace, RCAV Charities, *Toonies for Tuition, and the Heart and Stroke Foundation. We look forward to your continued support.
*Toonies for Tuition is a new charity this year. More information to come in the following weeks.
2018-2019 ADMISSIONS
We are currently accepting new admissions for the 2018-2019 school year. If you know of someone who you believe would benefit from a Catholic education please direct them to our website to fill out an application form. We do have waiting lists in some classes, however many of the students on these waiting lists do get accepted as spaces open up. Below are our current vacancies –

RE-REGISTRATION FOR 2018-2019
Re-registration for next school year will be happening on Friday February 1st from 8am – 7pm. In the next couple of weeks registration packages will be sent home. Please ensure that all forms have been completed and all documents are attached. If you are registering a Kindergarten child, please ensure that all documentation,ie: Birth certificate, immunization schedule & baptismal certificate are attached.
Any family who has not re-regististed by Monday February 12 will have their seats open to new families on the waiting list.
Please ensure you register on February 1st to avoid late fees and to secure your spot for next year.
LOST SOMETHING AT CHURCH?
There are a number of items that have been left behind in the church over the Christmas season and from the Christmas Concert (Santa hats, gloves, scarves, books, etc.) The Lost and Found bin for the church is located in the Gathering Area under the table by the bulletin board. Please take a moment to check if your lost item has been placed in this bin. All items will be donated at the end of January if left unclaimed.
2018 WEEKLY DONATION ENVELOPES FOR ST. BERNADETTE PARISHIONERS
Please pick up your weekly donation envelopes for 2018 which are available in the Gathering Area. Please check your address, and update the Parish Office with any changes. Regular envelope use is required to maintain category status. Contact the parish office at 604-596-0566 if you have any questions or concerns.
HOLY CROSS OPEN HOUSE
Holy Cross Regional Secondary will be hosting an Open House Thursday, January 25th, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:30 pm. You are invited to join Holy Cross’ community and see our school in action. Enjoy Band/Choir performances, Science experiments, participate in a French Café, savour the complimentary sweets and coffee from our Home Economics Department and meet and greet with Holy Cross’ teachers and students. Holy Cross’ administrative staff will be accepting applications for new students applying for the 2018/2019 school year during the evening.
