2017-2018 STAFF LIST
Every year at this time we take a moment to recognize those staff members who will not be returning to St. Bernadette’s next year and to welcome those staff members who will be new additions to our community. We begin with our farewells:
We acknowledge the contributions and dedication Ms. Wagg provided to our community over the years. Ms. Wagg left in October and has decided to continue to devote her time to her children.
Ms. Wilczewski is retiring at the end of this school year. She has served the school for 25 years and we thank her for all of her dedication, commitment and service to the students and wider community during that time. We would like to wish her all the best in the future and we hope she has many happy adventures! We look forward to her visiting the school in the near future perhaps as a teacher on call 🙂
We would like to wish much success Ms. Beliveau as she has accepted a new teaching assignment at Star of the Sea School. We look forward to having our paths cross at the many CISVA events next year!
We wish Mr. Duncan all the best as he embarks on opportunities elsewhere. We thank him for his several years of service.
Finally, we would like to thank Ms. McLellan for her year of service to the students of St. Bernadette’s. We will miss her passion and enthusiasm.
We would like to welcome back Ms. Hillard. Ms Hillard was away on maternity leave and we look forward to her return in September.

YEAR END BBQ
Thank you to everyone who helped out with the Year End BBQ. We really appreciate all the parents, alumni. staff and the grade 7 students who committed their time to decorate/set-up the gym and outdoor area, run games and the concession, and helped with clean-up. A very special thank you to Anne-Marie Palma, Cathy Lan and Angela Lew who chaired the event and spent many hours ensuring it was very memorable.
It was a wonderful evening of community building and a great way to bring attention to the fantastic year that is coming to and end.
CISVA TRACK MEET
We had a very successful CISVA track meet this year. We received several top 3 finishes, with many of them being 1st place (we have not received any official results as of writing this). Mercy Iyase in grade 5 won the all around girls individual aggregate award. She came away with the most points out of any girl in grade 5! This is a huge accomplishment.
The CISVA Track Meet is the largest track meet in Western Canada. 38 out of the 40 Catholic schools in the lower mainland participated this year. There were thousands of athletes competing over the two days. The accomplishments we achieved were tremendous and we look forward to what may come next year.
We would like to thank all the staff and parents who volunteered during our track season to run the different events and who helped out with conditioning. We are very grateful for your contributions to our program!
