In the last week of school before Christmas break, our Student Council host Spirit Week activities. This year Student Council has decided on the following themes and activities:

Tuesday Dec. 19th – “Christmas Colours or Character” – Students can come to school wearing Green/Red or dressed as their favourite Christmas character. The entire school will be going to see the film called “The Star”. More information is below.
Wednesday Dec. 20th – “Winter Wonderland” – Students can come dressed in their favourite winter items. At lunch recess students will be invited to play in small sided hockey games.
Thursday Dec. 21st – “Ugly Sweater Day” – Wear your tackiest, brightest, funniest, Christmas sweater or shirt. . Students will be invited into a Christmas Village hosted by Student Council

THE STAR FILM VIEWING FIELD TRIP
A Christmas gift from the school to your child. We are happy to announce that we will be taking the entire school on see the film “The Star” at the Strawberry Hill Cinemas.
In The Star, a small but brave donkey named Bo yearns for a life beyond his daily grind at the village mill. One day he finds the courage to break free, and finally goes on the adventure of his dreams. On his journey, he teams up with Ruth, a loveable sheep who has lost her flock and Dave, a dove with lofty aspirations. Along with three wisecracking camels and some eccentric stable animals, Bo and his new friends follow the Star and become accidental heroes in the greatest story ever told – the first Christmas.
Permission forms will be going home this week. Please be on the look out. On Tuesday, December 19th students will leave the school at noon by bus and return around 2:30pm. We are not in need of parent supervisors, however, if parents would like to join us the cost will be $10.00 per ticket and parents will have to transport themselves.
